A hobby turned profession & community involvement

I started stilting with Nana Project Studios in 2007. I stilted each year in the Halloween Lantern Parade in Patterson Park, Baltimore. We also held workshops with stilt-building with the at-risk youth in the city for the purpose of encouraging Baltimore to be more involved in their community in a creative way, and to promote the well-being of young people.

I continued stilting in Concepción, Chile, where I built my stilts much taller. The photoshoot you see here is from "Performance 1", photographed by Brock West.

The last picture is the plan you can for making the stilts at different lengths, the first step before making the costumes that we wore (lantern bugs & butterfly shown here).
